Many blogs and news reports over the last 6 months or so have proclaimed that with today's cell phones and other electronics being practically a body appendage, especially with young people, the wristwatch is becoming a dinosaur. Will we be saying "back in the day" regarding watches anytime soon?

We sure have a tons of people of all ages buying watches from us, so we knew the case for watches being something from "back in the day" was overstated. The JCK, one of the leading periodicals in the jewelry industry decided to do their own survey by talking to watch retailers to see.
Executive Summary:
Watches are worn not just to tell time, but as a fashion accessory or status symbol. After all, you can get a drugstore watch or one at walmart, probably for about $15 bucks if you just want to know the time. Yet watches at price points in the hundreds and thousands are selling briskly at both brick and mortar retailers and online, including at Princeton Watches
For women watches are stylish fashion accessories and men appreciate the technical aspects and mechanics of watches. Some surveyed say that even if young adults may be wearing fewer watches now, as they mature and move into the workforce and start dressing for status, that changes.
